Protein Powders

I always hear how you need protein after exercising. It’s also good to increase your protein intake while lowering your carbohydrate intake to help lose weight. I’m always hearing about protein powder being a good way to get more protein.

I happened to be at the supermarket with my wife and decided to see what they had in stock for protein powder. They only had one. The Jillian Michaels Natural Whey Protein. I went ahead and bought so I could try it out. I’ve never bought protein powder before. What do I know?

Protein? PowderThis has very little protein in it – 15grams per serving. Honestly, I really don’t see the point of taking this. A can of tuna fish has 20grams. This JM protein is delicious. I love it as a smoothie. One banana, half a cup of milk, some ice, and a scoop of this powder. Yummy – but not much protein.

I going to see if I can’t find a different brand that has more protein in it. Hopefully it will taste almost as good.

Birthday Girl

Tomorrow is my wife’s birthday. We went out for lunch today because it’s her day off. She wanted Chinese…

That don’t be helping my diet any! I had the Egg Drop Soup, Lemon Chicken, an egg roll and barely touched the rice. For her birthday cake she wanted cheesecake. My weigh in tomorrow might not be very good.
